Mr. Omar Sabri completed his Higher Surgical Training in Trauma & Orthopaedics in 2010. He specialises in trauma, pelvic surgery, and hip reconstruction including arthroplasty. In addition to being a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at St George’s Hospital, Omar Sabri is also an ATLS (Advanced Trauma and Life Support) instructor, an AO National and International Faculty member and the acting Secretary to the Orthopaedic Trauma Society of the UK & Ireland (OTS).
Mr. Omar Sabri completed fellowships in Trauma in Nottingham, Pelvic and Complex Lower Limb Arthroplasty at St George’s Hospital, and Trauma and Pelvic surgery in hospital for Special Surgery New York.
Mr. Sabri has numerous publications in several peer reviewed journals in addition to several articles as an invited author. Mr. Sabri has written the chapter on the ‘Management of Limb and Pelvic Trauma’ in the Oxford Textbook of Critical Care which remains a main reference for managing these complex injuries.
Mr. Sabri has an interest in medical Education and Research. In addition to being an Honorary Lecturer at the University of London, He is an acting Primary Investigator in 2 NIHR multicenter clinical trials relating to pelvic fractures. Omar is also helping with the development of a Virtual Reality Simulator used to train surgeons and improve performance in the operating theatre.
