Clinical interests
Mr Crocker is a consultant neurosurgeon at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has a clinical interest in general neurosurgery including complex spine surgery and vascular neurosurgery.
Professional profile
Mr Crocker qualified from New College, Oxford University with a BA(hons) in physiological science and BMBCh. He trained as a junior doctor in London and in higher specialist training in neurosurgery at King's College Hospital, St George's Hospital and Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre. He undertook a two year research and teaching period at St George's, University of London as the McKissock Lecturer in neurosurgery, studying angiogenesis and blood flow in patients with malignant brain tumours.
He was awarded the Norman Dott Medal for the most outstanding performance in the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (neurosurgery) exam in 2011. He visited the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona in 2012 as the Marjorie Newsome Travelling Fellow.
Mr Crocker has published more than 30 peer reviewed papers on various aspects of neurosurgery including brain tumours, complex spine surgery and vascular neurosurgery. He has presented papers at national and international meetings and he has authored two book chapters , as well co-authoring Clinical Cases in Neurosurgery.
