Mr Aleix Rovira is a consultant Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Head and Neck surgeon based at Croydon University and St George’s University Hospitals in London.
He specialises in head and neck pathology with particular interest in head and neck cancer including laryngeal cancer, salivary gland cancer and transoral robotic surgery.
Mr Rovira grow up in Barcelona where he completed medical school and specialised in ENT at Bellvitge University Hospital/Catalan Institute of Oncology in 2016. He worked as a Head and Neck consultant for a year before deciding to move to the UK to develop higher subspecialisation in head and neck surgery through an advanced head and neck and thyroid cancer fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. He was subsequently appointed in his current job in 2018.
He has published several peer-reviewed papers and participated in writing book chapter related with head and neck cancer. Currently he is working on his PhD program about the role of head and neck salvage surgery after recurrence of squamous cell carcinoma previously treated with bioradiotherapy.
