Sharne completed her studies in Australia, where she obtained both a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Graduate Diploma in Bioethics from Monash University before completing a Master of Genetic Counselling at the University of Melbourne in 2012. She has several years of experience working in Clinical Genetics, with genetic counselling positions in both New Zealand and Australia prior to moving to the UK and commencing at St George’s Hospital in 2017.
