Senior Clinical Research Nurse - Emergency Department

Claire joined the Emergency Department (ED) Research Team as the Senior Clinical Research Nurse in September 2020.

Her role links between the ED Clinical Research Unit and the Clinical Research Facility. She is responsible for ED research team management and development together with promoting research within the ED. The role also includes assisting with study set up, recruitment and on-going monitoring to ensure all research undertaken within the department is conducted within the trust and national research governance framework.


Professional Profile

Claire previously worked in the Emergency Department at St George’s NHS FT and Chelsea and Westminster NHS FT. She also has a background in Intensive care, acute medicine, interventional radiology and community, in the NHS and abroad.

Claire achieved a BSc(Hons) in Human Genetics  from the University of Leeds in 2006 and completed her nurse training at The University of Manchester in 2010.

She is currently undertaking a PGcert in Healthcare Research Skills and Methods as part of progression to a masters degree.
