LED-SAS Doctors

Dr Elwina Timehin
Consultant Audiovestibular Physician

I am a Consultant Audiovestibular Physician at St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

I am the current Tutor for all Staff and Associate Specialist (SAS)/Specialty doctors and dentists and Locally Employed Doctors (LEDs) including International Medical Graduates (IMGs) in the Trust.

I joined St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant in 2005.

I was the Clinical Lead for the Department of Audiology and Audiovestibular Medicine from 2015 to 2021.

My clinical interests are in the diagnosis and management of hearing and balance disorders in both children and adults.

In my role as SAS-LED Tutor, I will be looking at how the to facilitate the development of career pathways and implement the SAS Charter in the Trust.

This is what is currently going on:

  1. At present we are analyzing and acting on the results of the SAS-LED survey carried out in February 2022. The results will be shared in due course.
  2. Work is being done to make sure all doctors are appraised. If you have not had an appraisal in over a year, please contact either me or Human resources (details given below).
  3. Induction program for IMGs being embedded between SGH & St. Helier Hospital.

Please feel to contact me by email: etimehin@nhs.net or Nicola McDonald (Revalidation Support Officer): Nicola.McDonald@stgeorges.nhs.uk if you have not been appraised.
