Developing Authority Workshop – Non Clinical Leadership Skills for Doctors
A unique Leadership Programme designed to equip Foundation Doctors with the knowledge and skills to perform as future leaders in everyday situations.
The aim of this 2-day workshop is to ensure you have the increased confidence to handle complex and challenging situations.
You will gain strategies to manage the identity shift from junior team member to responsible clinician, both from your own perspective and that of those around you whether they be a patient or relative, a consultant or registrar, a nurse or other health-care professional.
By the end of this course, you will learn how ‘having authority’ in the context of a hospital will benefit you, your patients and your colleagues. You will recognize your current professional image and gain an understanding of your individual style and therefore which approaches are most effective for you.
