- Has the patient got pain, soreness or ulceration around or along the infusion pathway/injection site/central venous catheter?

- History of receiving intravenous infusion via central venous line or peripheral cannula with pain, burning, soreness and/or inflamation or swelling around or along infusion site pathway.
- Certain chemotherapy drugs can cause long term severe tissue damage if extravasation occurs.
