Craig Peters, proud and grateful Dad, will be carrying out a set of burpees daily over the course of 12 months until he reaches a total of 67,171. Craig has been carrying out his burpees in a variety of locations and is now coming to the grounds of St George’s Hospital, Tooting to inspire others to help him to achieve his target. On Friday 5 August he will be have achieved 219.

Craig is raising money for the New Kit Appeal on behalf of the Fetal Medicine Department at the hospital. The kit costs £25,000 and Craig has raised £2,500 towards it. Craig’s twin sons were delivered safely two years ago when they needed an operation in the womb to allow blood to flow equally to both twins. Without the operation and expertise of the Fetal Medicine team, one or both babies could have died.

Professor Basky Thilanganathan of the Fetal Medicine team joined Craig today in his daily set of burpees and said, “We’re delighted that Craig is fundraising on our behalf as all donations will help us improve our equipment and ultimately, save the lives of more babies”.

Craig is also keen to enlist the help of other people and challenges anyone to start with five burpees and keep adding to them daily; then to challenge five other people they know to do the same and encourage them to donate to the St George’s Hospital Charity.
