Information for Fund Advisers
These pages contain information for our many Fund Advisers to support them in their role.
What does a Fund Adviser do?
A Fund Adviser is a member of staff who has agreed to take on the responsibility for:
- managing the special fund for their ward, service or department
- approving all requests for expenditure from the fund they manage, ensuring that it is in line with the purposes of the fund and is genuinely charitable in nature
- identifying opportunities to spend the money within the fund
- securing further donations into the fund, provided they are genuinely charitable in nature
- checking the quarterly fund statements issued to them by the Charity
Ward donation receipt books
These receipt books are widely available on all wards to record the donations received and to allow ward staff to issue the donor with a receipt immediately.
These books are pre-printed and are available from the St George's Hospital Charity (020 8725 2883). When you've finished with the book, please return it to the Charity and ask for a new one.
