Our commitment to Accessibility

Changing the appearance of the site

Change the font size
Most of the text on this website can be re-sized by using the font size setting in your browser. This can be found under the 'View' menu of most browsers.
Change the language of the site
Using Google Translate you can translate our website into over 50 languages. When using the translator, the page will load and once it has been translated you will see the text change to the language you have chosen. There may be slight layout issues when the wording in other languages is longer than in english. This will not affect your browsing experience.
Google Translate is a free service, and should help non-English speakers to understand the basic information on the site. However we cannot guarantee that translations are 100% accurate and for this reason we do not recommend that patients rely on translated text to make medical decisions.
Other text and colour changes
You are also usually able to change the default font and background colours used on the site. Generally, settings are found in the 'Options' or 'Preferences' menus of the browser.
Use a 'plain' layout
Most browsers will allow you to strip a web page of all styling and layout by turning off the website 'style sheets'. This option can be found in the 'View' menu.
Keyboard access
Skipping from link to link is possible using the TAB key on your keyboard. The current link will be highlighted in yellow. To move backwards, hold down SHIFT and press the TAB key.
Access Keys
Access Keys are not used on this site because they can interfere with the keyboard controls of many browsers and screen readers.
